Our thriving Keelboat Section provides the highest quality events for our bigger boat sailing members and crews.
Overview
We have three series of short course Sunday IRC & Handicap, as well as Saturday Pursuit racing around our extensive set of fixed race marks and using our own dedicated start-line west of Shoreham Harbour entrance. Also, we have open events, such as Sussex Regatta and the Festival of the Sea.
You can venture further afield by taking part in our long inshore and offshore series throughout the year, or visit our friends along the English and French coast, and of course join the iconic Royal Escape Race from Brighton to Fécamp.
Sussex Yacht Club’s Keelboat Section is widely respected for its rallies, carefully planned and organised, often forming part of an offshore or long inshore race event.
Our Keelboat Section Handbook is meticulously prepared and edited each year to provide all the detailed information you need to plan and enjoy your sailing with Sussex Yacht Club.
