ETAP 23 'Subidu' For Sale

ETAP 23 'Skubidu' built 1990, original owner from new, home port Shoreham, West Sussex. Presently ashore at owner's property situated at 85700 Menomblet, Vendée, France, undergoing routine annual maintenance.

'Skubidu' is to be sold with all gear normally on board when sailing, together with launching/recovery and lay-up wheeled cradle, and custom-built, braked, twin axle road trailer.

Also included in the sale is a Humber Guppi 1 (loa 2.80m) inflatable together with Mariner 5M

2-stroke outboard engine with 12 litre remote fuel tank.

All original manuals and relevant information for both craft and road trailer are included.

Etap 23 “Skubidu”, original owner from new, home port Shoreham, West Sussex. Presently ashore on her lay- up cradle which doubles as her launch and slipping trolley. This trolley winches onto a custom built twin axle braked road trailer built by RM Trailers. 'Skubidu' is at owner's property situated at 85700 Menomblet, Vendée, France.

Description of items for sale:

Etap 23 built 1990, Hull Identification Number 1888131.23.1.465, Sloop 8/10 fractional rig, Sail nr. GBR 3807T,  SSR 37757 which expired at 30 December 2015.

Dimensions:

LOA 7.36 metres (including transom hung rudder), beam  2.45 metres, draft 0.70 ~ 1.45 metres (lifting keel in dagger plate form)

Weights: boat – about 1850 kg, road trailer and cradle/trolley 700 kg.

Construction – GRP, Hull (epoxied before first launch) + Deck with outer and inner skins filled with closed cell foam making her unsinkable and dry inside.  4 berths. Decks + cockpit sole with non-slip surfaces.

Original mast, boom and running rigging.  

Standing rigging – Forestay upgraded to 5 mm S/S wire with Rotostay solid luff reefing/furling system, shrouds 4 mm S/S wire with toggles, single adjustable S/S wire back stay.

Equipped on deck with :

CQR Anchor (20 lbs) with 2.75 metres of 3/8” chain, and about 40 m of 14 mm Anchorplait nylon warp.  Anchor buoy.  Fouled anchor recovery gear. 2 S/S Harness securing points in the cockpit. 4 Anchorplait 14 mm nylon mooring lines, about 11 m long, 4 nylon 3-strand 14 mm mooring lines about 5 m long. 2 large fenders + 4 small fenders. Folding radar reflector.  Soft wood bungs.  Weighted heaving line.  Bosun chair. 2 rubber buckets, Plastimo Contest compass, Autohelm Tridata, Autohelm 4000 self-steering, 1 Delco Voyager battery 12V 105 Ah, charge maintained by Aero2Gen wind generator and from engine alternator. Engine Yamaha 8CEM 2-stroke with electric start and alternator and 12 litre fuel tank.  Engine tools and owners and workshop manuals.

Nav lights; Port and starboard combined bow light. Mast head all-round white light. White mast steaming light.  White stern light.  4  Lewmar 6 single speed winches + winch handles.  Spinnaker, Jib and Mainsail halyards, first and second mainsail reefing lines and vang control line led to clutches on the coach-roof. Horseshoe life belt, drogue + light. 1 Firemaster 1kg ABC powder Extinguisher (needs part exchanging with Firemaster, pressure too low) .

Equipped below with:

Jabsco sea toilet, mast raising/lowering gear (enables mast to be raised and lowered single handed).  Navigation station with removable chart table (which doubles as cabin or cockpit table), Garmin 75 GPS, Navico RT6500S  VHF radio with VTronix Black Hawk mast head antenna and emergency antenna, Kelvin Hughes clock and barometer, Sestrel hand bearing/emergency steering compass, chart table flexible lamp with red filter.   Electric control panel and volt meter for batteries. Spinnaker pole.  4 safety harnesses and security lines. 2 Boat-hooks. Waterproof pyrotechnics box. (fireworks now expired). 2 keel raising/lowering handles.

Sails – Genoa 148 %, full luff length jib 100%, storm jib (unused), mainsail with 3 slab reefs and short Aquabattens, and Tri-radial spinnaker with Snuffer and all running rigging.  All sails are original to the boat and in good condition.

50 litre freshwater tank with piping to Whale hand-pump over galley wash basin.  Camping Gaz Luxe Marine  2 burner gas hob.  4 place settings and serving dish.  Galley cooking gear.  2 saucepans and frying pan all with lids.  Small tool box containing spare parts.  Basic medical box.  Various ensigns and international code flags.  Fog horn. Ensign staff. 4 Crewsaver lifejackets.  Henderson manual bilge pump.  Emergency tiller. 1 Firemaster 2 kg ABC powder Extinguisher. Clothes hanging spaces, port and starboard, with 3 wooden coat hangers each side.

Other gear to be included:

2 spare wheels and spare trailer board for road trailer; 2 guide posts and 4 spare wheels (solid tyres) for launching/slipping/lay-up cradle. 2.5 litres Seajet 034 white anti-fouling (unopened). About 1.2 litres Quicksilver marine 2-stroke oil, 3 x 296 ml Quicksilver Gear Oil. Stern prop (lay-up and applying anti-fouling), box of sundry repair and maintenance items.

Humber Guppy 1 Inflatable boat, LOA 2.75m, Beam 1.6m with solid floor and inflatable keel, oars and pump together with Mariner 5M 6E3S, 2-stroke outboard motor (very few hours of use) and remote 12 litre fuel tank.
