The 2024 sailing season is now underway, with the Shake Down race held on Sunday 3rd March and the Spring Pursuit, and Inshore Series commenced on the weekend of 9th/10th March. But beyond that we also need to plan our sailing activities generally for both ourselves and our crews for the new year.
There are two obvious areas, Racing and Regattas etc., and Rallying. Both require a degree of commitment and every skipper will have their own approach to this. If you are looking for crew to support you for a Rally then you probably need to get them signed up asap.
If you head towards the Keelboat Handbook section on the website, then scroll down through the preamble you will see two buttons Racing Overview 2024 and Rallying Overview 2024. All the detail you need is there. The rest of the essential Sailing Handbook documents follow a little further down the screen.
Tim and Jenny are already working on the details of the Rallies and it would be very helpful if we are ready for them when they ask for our intentions.
